Tens of thousands of songs from different genres of Indonesian music, including Javanese Dangdut, pop, koplo and more can be searched with keywords on one site. The web page has been set up by Jogjakarta-based recording company Psr Records and Bandung-based club Dangdut House. All the songs are available for free download. ##What can we do to help? The internet is a wonderful thing — the fact that we have billions of websites at our fingertips is often taken for granted. However, there is a lot that we can do to make our presence on the internet a positive one. There are things we can do to make the internet a better place to hang out. The first step is easy — download music from websites that allow it. The vast majority of music downloaded from the internet is unauthorized copies from CDs or from the radio. These unauthorized copies only hurt the artists who recorded them and don’t generate any money for them, unlike online downloads which not only allow you to listen to your favourite songs, but also help support your favourite artists by actually making them some money! So, you see downloading music from websites that allow it does help compensate musicians for their hard work. The second step is to keep your computer clean of pop-ups, adverts and software. It’s easy to think that your computer is infected just because it’s slow or playing up. That's not the case though, it's just the internet being an old beast! If you are experiencing lag or errors on your computer or have pop-ups on your screensaver then check out some free anti-malware tools at malwarebytes.org (choose Mac OS X) or www.virustotal.com (choose Windows). Lastly, don't ever download pirated music. It's illegal and it doesn't benefit anybody.
